Discipleship

We believe that the process of becoming a passionate follower of Jesus Christ involves discipleship. What is discipleship? A disciple is defined as: "a student" " a learner" "someone who believes and help spread the teachings of another"...

Discipleship is being a disciple. It is active, action-oriented and ongoing. It is what we are interested in at Northside...constant movement towards passionately following Christ and His teachings, His commission and His truth. 

Jesus invited anyone to follow Him. That includes YOU. His disciples were not an elite group of scholars, or businessmen with particular economic status, or people of a specific social group. Their common bond was their obedience to follow Him, to spend time with Him, learning and asking questions, listening and obeying...and experiencing transformed lives.

At Northside, we believe that the process of discipleship will take place on many levels, in various settings and in day-to-day experiences. We offer opportunities for people of all ages to join in the journey, and there are some specific opportunities that we believe will help further the process of knowing Christ and growing as His disciple.
